Quartz Slab Texture Bug

What I expected to happen was...:
The Quartz Slab texture was a full-quartz block

What actually happened was...:
It converted into a stone block, I can't say which.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a Quartz slab
2. Put another, to try to make a full quartz block
3. Proof, it converted into a stone.
