Crash that disables graphics card.

I have a EVGA GEFORCE GTX 670 FTW. It is a very good graphics card that has been overclocked. I can reproduce the crash with the steps below.

1. Open with a 32x Texture Pack on optifine.(I was able to reproduce without texture pack and without optifine)
2. Open any map.
3. Mess around such as but not limited to moving an item from your top inventory to your bottom or vise versa, hitting certain mobs for example a skeleton wearing enchanted armour.
4. Graphics card goes from 1000 GPU Clock to 200. That is not normal on my graphics card. Minecraft freezes and turns white. Have to close it manually with ctrl+alt+delete.
4.5 Get a message saying that the graphics card has been disabled and has recovered.

This only has happened to a small amount of poeple of of those few have had a intel or a nvidia cpu or gpu. I have tried everything from reinstalling drivers to reinstalling java. Only happenes on 1.4.6 for some reason.
