Can't get into minecraft. Keeps sending me back to launcher.

I expected the Minecraft window to continue running after I pressed "play" on the launcher.

What actually happened was that it pulled up the window, the Mojang sign appeared, then it sent me back to the launcher.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open minecraft.
2. Click "play" on the launcher.
