Villager 'joke'

The 'joke' regarding the player being replaced with a villager is now tired and not funny. Can this issue be fixed please, or a refund issued? I paid for a game, as developers you are having a joke which I do not find funny, I'd like to either be able to play the game with the sound turned on or a refund issued since I can't play the game. I cannot get the game to play 1.7.4 through my iMac. Your idea of a joke sucks.
