Oak leaves kill animals

I have seen horses killed by getting underneath the leaves of oak trees. I have also seen chickens, ocelots, and tamed cats killed by getting into jungle bushes (the low ones that have oak leaves for their foliage). I have not yet seen this with other types of trees or leaves.
