/Clone cloning state of redstone

When using the /clone command with command blocks or if activated with a button, the current of the redstone is also cloned, executing the command in the command block twice. I think when any redstone devices(buttons, repeaters,etc.) are cloned, they should be replaced with their off state i.e. when a button is pressed and is being cloned, the clone of the button will be off.
