No loot in chests in survival mode

If i play single player survival no loot will spawn in loot chests in for example desert temples and dungeons. It probably affects abandon mines and everywhere else you find loot-chests. I've tried it on multiple worlds and multiple fresh installs of both minecraft and java. The problem persists.

Weirdest thing of all is that it works in creative.
