Repairing inventory crafting laggy glitch

A few snapshots ago I was lagging greatly at my zombie farm, and when I was repairing a helmet with another helmet in my inventory, I could pick up the new helmet, and the ones repairing it, It also worked with swords, it also my be fixed. Also it not in this snapshot that i know of
