End Portal doesnt open up in any difficulty, including easy mode

so im in easy mode, AND IM TRYING TO GO TO THE END WHEN I DEFEATED THE ENDER DRAGON..... and the end portal wasnt working. i put the blocks right, all ender eyes, and it wont let me. i tried hundreds of times but it didnt work.
