Chunk deleted randomly

I was logged onto my creative world and I hadn't played it in a while. It was fine when I last played it but I logged on to see that a chunk of buildings was gone. I relogged and it was still missing. It has only affected this world but I know that it isn't my computer as I haven't played singleplayer in a while.
