Distance Flown going up after running down stairs

In the statistics, my 'Distance Flown' gets higher when I run down stairs.

Steps to Reproduce:
Stand at top of staircase,
Double tap W to sprint down the stairs,
the 'Distance Flown' in the statistics changes the more stairs I run down.
