In-hand inventory labels?!

Now you have labels telling me whenever I switch items in my in-hand inventory. This has taken about 1 minute to drive me crazy. I MUST be able to disable this - and you aren't saying how. It's not helpful, it's a straight-up bad idea - please abandon it. I just chose my diamond pickaxe, I don't need to be told I just did that. Maybe good for beginners but not me. Make it a 'hints' thing a player can turn on and off.
