Can't throw snowball out of minecart

In creative mode:
When throwing a snowball at a minecart, it disappaers.
Same if you are sitting in a minecart and throwing at any direction, the minecart will be removed and you will hop out of the minecart and fall through the ground one block.

In survival mode:
When throwing a snowball at a minecart, nothing happens, but if you are in the minecart and throw outwards, the snowball disappaers.
