Spectator mode Biome spam

I started a new single player world and went into spectator mode to survey the area.
I put it to the fastest move speed to travel long distances.
The game started to have a hard time keeping up with loading chunks.
As I moved into unloaded chunks the current biome would change rapidly.
Traveling too far into unloaded chunks would bog down my computer and the game but not crash causing me to have to exit and restart the game.
On reload I would be it the last successfully loaded chunk.
