Minecraft not running. Is automatically crashing.

Minecraft is not launching at all, it is automatically crashing. I log in, it starts to run but then crashes. It also says I am running a 1.5.2 launcher when I've downloaded the launcher straight from minecraft.net. Is this the reason?

I've updated all of my drivers and Java hearing that this solved it for many. I have a Gateway NV78 running intel core 2 duo processor T6600 with 500 gb of memory and 4 gb of ram. I also use a multi-in-1 card reader (if that helps with anything?)
Could I Please receive feed back I've wanted to own/ play the computer version of Minecraft for years now and I can't get it to work.
