14w08a to 1.7.5 - loss of inventory/nether chests

World originally created in snapshot (a few versions ago).
Player was in Nether/Survival/cheats on first 1.7.5 load; missing all inventory and contents of chest nearby.
Changed to creative; verified all other chests in nether are empty. Used portal back to overworld; first opened chest verified empty; all further chests (and second time opening first chest) contents present and correct. Still missing all inventory, including armor.
