Tamed cats getting stuck/teleporting into nearby leaf blocks and suffocating

When walking around jungle biome with tamed cats, if you get far enough away for them to teleport to you, they teleport into leaf blocks and suffocate. They also seem to just get stuck in leaf blocks and suffocate.
