Mined blocks shoot upwards through the ground randomly

When mining underground (going to do more tests on this, but it's definitely a bug regardless) dropped blocks/entities are disappearing. I later realised they are shooting up through whatever is above onto the surface. I don't know if they always go all the way to the surface or just to the next space (if there is a higher up cave for example).

I don't know exactly what details you need from me on here I've never reported a bug before, and I apologise if this is a repeat but I wasn't sure how to word it and couldn't find it in any searches I did on here.
