Rails powered by redstone don't update when you break torches

If you make a line of a redstone powered rail, and a line of redstone torches next to it, and break the torches from one end to the other, the rails do not update. Tested in 1.0 offcicial release and still happened there as well. It is possible that this bug exists when the rails were added in 1.5 beta, but it is a pain to test because there is no creative mode in that version.
