I can not run 1.6.4 on my computer

I tried to run 1.6.4 so I could use forge.
What I expected to happen was...:

The game crashes everytime
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run minecraft
2. Choose edit profile
3.Change game version to 1.6.4
4.Save profile
5.Hit play
