Data tags not working on Animals

when testing for a sheep useing the testfor command
the result is positive, however when adding a color tag on the end the result is negitive
"Color:#"
This applies to the tags ;
"InLove" and "Sheared"
as far as I understand I should be able to testfor the color of a sheep
