After crash Piston disappered and was replaced by indistucable block

Has happened twice, 2nd was a witch farm arrangement where 4 pistons vanished and where replaced by a indestructible block (in survival) also a redstone block did the 2 same, guessing a crash happened while the system was in operation.

Was able to rectify going in to creative.
