Particle against water in 1.7.4

Every time I break a block and theres water behind, the particles are UNDER the water layer.

What I expected to happen was...:
Particles of a breaking block showing like usual

What actually happened was...:
The particles were all here, but under the water.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go on the side of a pool of water
2. place a block/grass/flower or actually anything wich produces particles between you and the water
3. break the block you just placed
4. look at the particles

I'm sorry if this was already reported, my search didn't show me anything similar.
