Can't "pick block" Redstone Ore if it's glowing

PLEASE LISTEN; This is a duplicate of a ticket that was closed as a duplicate even though it was a different issue. It never got resolved.

Using "pick block" on a glowing Redstone Ore block will give you nothing. Not even non-glowing Redstone Ore. If I place down Redstone Ore, I can't "pick block" it if it starts glowing. It dosn't recognise it as a pickable block, therefore I have to keep going into my inventory to get Redstone Ore every time I get rid of it from my inventory.
