Snowball Entities

I was making something that makes web apear whereever i throw a snowball.

I thought it would be great if i could make different snowballs make different colors
But! in order or that to happen i need to do: (example)
execute @e[name=red] ~ ~1 ~ setblock ~ ~1 ~ wool 14

It didnt work even though i named my snowball red, so i threw 1 inthe air and did: say @e and it said "[slikpop] slikpop Snowball

The issue is that even though i rename the snowball the entitiy that spawns is still named "Snowball" its only the item in my Hand that is named "red".

it would be great if you would fix that
