Destroy block falling at wrong place

What I expected to happen was...:
The broken blocks should fall to the ground.

What actually happened was...:
Sometimes the broken blocks appear on a surface above the player.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Dig a hole under a surface
2. Break several blocks
3. Go on the surface.

Maybe a spawning bug?
