Minecraft has reverted to a previous version

It seems that minecraft reverted to a previous version. my server list in multiplayer has disappeared, and in the launcher, it removed the last news update (the one about skins) and now shows the one about 1.7.3 and 1.7.4 at the top of the news update. also, it says for the monuments and meyhem server that it cannot resolve the hostname, and it says for the zionrealm server that it can't connect to server.
