Torch-Flower Pot Graphical Glitch

When I right-click with a torch or redstone torch on the side of a flower pot, in stead of immediately placing it beside the pot, it has a split-second graphical glitch that I have a screenshot of.

Reproducing
1. Place a flower pot down.
2. Place a torch on the side of the pot (the actual side, not the block beside it). It should have a split second graphical glitch.
