barriers layering over each other and Disappearing texture

so, I was in a creative world, super flat, cheats allowed, and made a random cube of barriers. I went to a different item in my hot-bar and turned around. a while later I turned to find the barriers missing, but the hit box was still there. I selected the barrier item and the texture was back, but they kept layering over each other. I'm sending you 3 snapshots, standing in the same place, one snapshot per second.
