Minecraft won't stop streaming?

While I am playing minecraft, it starts streaming to twitch all by itself. I don't press the button to stream, it just starts streaming within a few seconds of playing minecraft. When I tell it to stop streaming, the game freezes and stops responding until I close the game. This means that I can't play the game without my entire twitch page watching me, and the button I set to stop streaming now simply acts as a "self destruct" button.
