Backspacing on mac

When typing in chat (May also be signs) When you are NOT in full screen mode it deletes the who word, rather than just a character. But when I'm in full screen mode it deletes the character just fine. Has been an issue for a while but was resolved for a long time. Just came back in this snapshot I guess.
