Sideways logs makes building VERY complicated for me.

It's really hard to build my houses now! I only use wood planks and logs to build my houses. I like the I sea of sideways log, but it gets really hard to build my ceiling because I make my ceiling out of upwards logs. If you try doing it it gets really hard. Can you make it so you have to do something like hold on Alt while you click for the log to be sideways?
