Enchanting Book Bug

I was in Creative Mode, using an anvil and some Enchanted Books to power up my diamond sword. I added the first book, for Sharpness V. It worked fine. I then tried to add Smite V, but the sword just had a blank line. I then tried to add a Bane Of Arthropods V, but that also failed. I believe this is a bug.
