Sheep Wool flashes white when taking damage

When sheep take damage, their wool flashes white (no matter its original color) while the rest of their bodies flash red.
Expected: sheep wool would flash red with the rest of the body
What Happened: the wool flashed white instead of red
Steps for Reproduction: log into minecraft; hit a sheep.
