Arrow shoot delay

While playing on a downloaded map, I was fighting a mob that was activated by redstone. Shortly after fighting the mob, I noticed that there was a delay with when my arrows were shot. In addition to that the arrows would just show up at their landed point instead of shooting from the bow which had a "Power V enchantment on it".
