Game frozen trying to load world in snapshot

I experienced the bug others are having-- when trying to exit spectating a mob in a singleplayer map, the game kicks me out into multiplayer select screen. But upon trying to load the singleplayer map again, the game has frozen on "building terrain" screen and won't close. It doesn't even show up on task manager to shut down that way.
