Logging out in a mob view in spectate mode

If I go into spectator mode and spectate a creeper, then disconnect and reconnect, everything is still green but I'm not spectating the creeper anymore.

Another glitch is that if I spectate a mob, change gamemode to survival/creative I will still be spectating that mob but in creative/survival. If I hit once it kicks me for "Attempting to attack an invalid entity".
