items don't appear when thrown on ground

When I throw an item on the ground it does not appear. This occurred on creative mode. I tried restarting minecraft and my computer and it din't fix the problem. I am on snapshot 14w04b. When I went on Mojang's website and it said it was fixed but not for me.
