Coal ore drops not rendering

I was randomly testing out 14w04b and when I was mining coal, I never saw the coal drop. And the experience orbs rarely were visible.

Sorry if this is already reported, I triple check and hopefully I didn't look over it.

I was mining with a stone pickaxe.
