setting "button 2" as something else, doesnt effect inventory

hello, i have a macbook, and i cant right-click, so in minecraft i put right click as q, and drop item as r. when i try to place only 1 item in my inventory, q doesnt do anything, and when i try the old right click (ctrl-click) it works as button 2.
