Peaceful mode does not work.

I was on my survival world and some slimes were annoying me. I changed my difficulty to peaceful and none of the mobs de-spawned.

Step 1: Create a Survival Superflat world.

Step 2: Let mobs spawn

Step 3: Turn on Peaceful in options menu
