Can't place 2 trapdoors side by side

I can't place 2 trapdoors side by side or one upon the other. Even when I place the second trapdoor, they both will be dropped from their blocks. I would like to build some "doors" or use it for a big flowerpot. In the attachment there are two screenshots from my world under MC 1.6.2. There I do not have this problem ...
