Teleport After Exiting a Boat

Go into the villages farm as shown in the 1st picture and place a boat in the stream. Go into the boat. Exit the boat. You will teleport around 8 blocks away from the boat when you should exit around 2-3 blocks from the boat. (This doesn't happen all the time.)
