Memory Leakage

I was caving and I hit "F3" to see my location, and then my eyes focus on the top right side of the screen, to find that the used memory went from 19% to 91% in 5 seconds. But it went back down, and back up. It did this 50 times for 3 minutes. Yesterday, I had a Blue Screen Of Death. So, What do i do?
