Low resolution on retina macbook pro

As of 1.7.4 the graphics for all the game, the HUD and the menus are well below max resolution on my retina macbook pro, unlike on 1.7.2 where everything was perfectly crisp.
This only happens when in full screen mode, if i have it windowed at maximum size the resolution is fine
