[MC-44689] [Fixed, Corrupt file] Freeze-up when falling 4+ blocks; Damage on re-entry of world.

Also occurs in snapshot 14w02a

When playing in Survival (only survival, tested in creative without issue), if you fall from a height of at least 4 blocks (without jumping), the game freezes roughly one block above the ground, and the program goes unresponsive.

No crash report is shown; program freezes and requires a forceful close.

After re-entering the world or server that you crashed in, you take the fall-damage.

Does NOT occur when taking damage from mobs.

Does NOT occur when falling 4 or more blocks while in creative.

When I check the development console, these are the last lines that have anything to do with the game just after joining and immediately forcing the crash by falling 4 blocks:
