1 layer ice world bug

I made a "superflat" world in creative mode, and in preferences
I selected "snowy kingdom" and deleted all the layers except the snow. Now there is only one layer, snow, and whenever I add a block on top of it or delete a block of it, minecraft crashes. This has happened multiple times.
Should I include all crash reports of this type?
