Chat error, stuck key. Only on Mac OS X

I have my system set up a certain way. To change desktops, I use [CMD]+Arrow.

When I do this, it fools Minecraft into thinking that the [Control] key is held down in chat. Every backspace or chat navigation is then done word+by+word until the application is fullscreened.
