Multiplayer servers crash frequently

When I log onto a multiplayer server such as 'the Hive' for example it will let me be on it for a few seconds then it will disconnect me saying something such as 'I found 1248 more bytes than I expected' and other random things like that. On severs with less people and plug-ins it does this less frequently.
