Section signs (§) can't be inserted in command blocks and pilcrows (¶) don't work in books & command blocks

The section signs (§) can't be inserted in command blocks. The pilcrows (¶) are markers for paragraphing sentences, as I just discovered when NBT-editing a book. The pilcrows, although you can put in command blocks and books, they
